The national research project Linked Care started on 1 April. The kick-off took place on 15th and 16th April.

In this flagship project, top-class economic, scientific and end-user partners will work on a continuous information supply in mobile care and support within four years. The aim is to relieve the burden on health workers by:

  • Making essential information available when it is needed
  • Avoiding duplication in documentation
  • Improve communication with clients, relatives and other health workers.
  • Increasing the individual autonomy of clients
  • Linking nursing and assistance to ELGA
  • One portal/tool for all stakeholders (nurses, assistances, relatives, clients, doctors, pharmacists and therapists)
  • Flexible changeover to digital services immediately possible if the situation requires it (Covid)

In this project, not only is a solution being developed and tested to connect mobile care and support to ELGA, but new technical standards are also being defined to enable the exchange of data between different software systems. To achieve all this, the solution is being developed in close cooperation between all stakeholders and the target group is being intensively involved.

The project
The Linked Care project is funded by the FFG within the framework of the Benefit Programme and runs from April 2021 to March 2025. The project management is carried out by the FH Campus Wien. The special feature of this FFG call for proposals is that only one project was selected from all the submissions to serve as a lighthouse project to meet the challenges of demographic change in Austria.
